Where Will You Live?
(How do Geography and Culture Affect Where People Live?)

Part 1: Scenario

Imagine that the population of the earth has grown to the point where there is no more room for people to live together comfortably. Because of this, your family has been ordered to travel in a time machine back to the early 1800's, to live with the Native Americans of that time.

Your family has given you the responsibility of selecting a region in which to live. Your family will live with the Native American people of that region.

In order to make your decision, you will visit tribes from each of the 4 regions. You will find out which region provides the best living conditions for your family's needs. The four regions that you will visit are:

Northwest Coast Region
Plains Region
Southwest Region
Eastern Woodlands Region

You are anxious to choose the Native American region where your family will live the most comfortably, so begin your research now!
