The Bucking Saw (top) was a crosscut saw, like the Falling Saw, only it was shorter and thicker, and used by one man instead of two. It was used to cut the tree into lengths for taking to the mill. The Peeling Iron (middle) was used to peel bark from a tree. The Springboard (bottom) was used for two men to stand on while sawing through the tree with a Falling Saw.

This photo was taken at the Lynden Pioneer Museum (exits site).
